5 Things to Perfect in 2019!

Blogging is a constantly changing ball game. The rules change, the trends change, your readers change. Being able to stay up on all the details that keep your .com afloat is important. Looking forward into this year there are many goals we have made to set us up for success. Here are 5 things to perfect this year on your road to success.

#1 Find Your Niche

Find your niche. If you’re a new blogger this may be a little more difficult than you would think. It takes some serious soul searching to find out what your niche is. What is that one thing that will make you stand out from the rest? There are hundreds of thousands of bloggers, why are you so special? Figure that out, lock it down, and run with it.

#2 Know Your Audience

Know your audience. This is so important because your audience will keep you afloat. They will be the reason you are making money some day when you blog full-time. They will be those words of encouragement when you post something vulnerable and the ones who stop you in the street and call you by your Instagram handle. (which can be a really cool feeling!) ask them questions, ask for feedback, use social media. There are so many ways to take polls, leave comments and messages. USE THOSE! Write to your audience, if you know them well, they will keep coming back for more.

#3 Crush Your Goals

Set goals, make a timeline. If you don’t have goals you can lose your drive pretty fast. Think about 2019, what do you want to accomplish this year? It can be anything from posting consistently once a week to organizing that one big event and having it be a smashing success. Brainstorm, make goals and CRUSH THEM.

#4 Quality Over Quality

Quality over quantity. As bloggers and influencers there is this daunting need to have content 24/7. Well guess what, I have nothing in my phone but that doesn’t mean that I’m going to post a photo of me from 3 years ago just because “I have to”. Your audience can tell when you’re out of content. Don’t post to post, go on your Instagram stories and tell people what they can look forward to or take them with you throughout your day. There are other ways to engage other than just that Instagram feed.

#5 Network

NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK! We will say this until we are blue in the face – networking is the single most important thing you can do for your blog aside from believing in yourself. It’s so important to meet other bloggers, talk about struggles and successes. If you’re not talking to a blogger they won’t know first-hand what you are going through and how to help. Meeting people will inspire friendships, collaborations and so much more! Obviously blogging has many different aspects to keep in mind but having these 5 simple tools will help guide you to having a successful 2019.
